When I joined my last place of employment, the engineering company, after I think of two years employment, we were entitled to two weeks of paid vacation. This grew to three weeks and eventually to four weeks of paid vacation. This last one was after 20 years of being there.
Later the company realized that its generosity was costing them a lot since there were too many long time employees, so three weeks became the max. No problem, with an additional one week paid sick time things were not so bad.
I had a few three week stays in St. Maarten in those years.
Now, I figured this. If 20 years of employment gave me four weeks of vacation, how much can I take after 87 years of existence?
I decided that based on that precedent I am allowed to take this summer off!
Based on that, I will return when summer is over.
Everybody, have a good summer!
