Here is what my friend and I did exactly a year ago today. By the way we were in Budapest.

We got up at 7:45 in the morning. Wasted the entire morning b.s-ing in the apartment. I have to add that my friend and I love to talk.

We went on the internet and bought tickets to see the Parliament. That is the center of the Hungarian government and legislature. It is a beautiful building and one can get in to se it by buying tickets in advance.

Like the good tourists we were we did buy tickets.

Interestingly while we both did grow up in Budapest neither of us ever visited the Parliament. We figured it was time to do it now.

Around lunchtime we went to the Central Market where we bought fantastically good food (mangos and palacsinta). The place is a tourist attractions so naturally it is filled with gift shops.

We spent considerable time looking and buying presents.

After that went over to the Buda side and took the funicular up Castle Hill where we did some serious walking around.

Around 6:30 pm we had dinner in a seafood restaurant where we had good seafood spiked with good beer.

Long walk on the shores of the Danube River then home. At midnight our day was over.
