Monday

My stepson and his girlfriend moved into a very nice new apartment at the first of this month. The apartment is not far from us and we see them quite frequently.

He has a dog that is classified as a Service Dog. This dog is as big as as small pony and as lame as a lamb. Loves everybody and does not bark. We think if a burglar would break in the apartment he would make friends with him. Just hope we'll never have the chance to find out.

Anyway, the apartment is just opposite the largest park in Queens. It is a beautiful park. Full of trails and larger roadways. Car traffic is forbidden meaning people do nat have to watch out for traffic.

The past couple of days we criss crossed the park under the guise of walking the dog. I have to admit we all had a great time. The air was fresh and clear, the people we met were all nice and friendly and the environment was just enjoyable.

Yesterday we walked about two hours, today we walked again about two hours. The dog was so tired he barely dragged his feet. I was not far behind him. My wife and stepson fared a lot better.

I really enjoy these little walks out there and I am looking forward to our next excursion into nature's lap.
